Ray Kurzweil, American author and inventor, is one of the greatest minds of our time – not to mention a full-fledged futurist. In 1963, at age 15, he wrote his first computer program. He is responsible for advancing speech-recognition technology as well as artificial intelligence. He knows the kind of gadgets we want before we want them. He can design a contraption or system even before we have the science to support it. In some ways, Kurzweil can see the future.

Considering his brilliant mind, Kurzweil is the go-to guy when we want advice on anything tech. “Hey Ray. Kindle or iPad?” “What do you think Ray? Roomba or Actroid-F?” Sadly, Ray’s busy. So in his stead, we have shows like Online Out of Line, a tech news show, to give us the latest update on all things wired.

Who would have thought, just 20 years ago, that we would need a news program dedicated strictly to technology? Kurzweil did. He recognized how fast technology was moving and how voraciously we were consuming it....
