As all of you probably know, Nintendo released the Wii in 2006 and saw astounding results. The thing sold almost 100 million units which is unbelievable and has both the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 beat in total sales across the world. Just think back to every holiday season since the system dropped. You straight up could not find a Wii in stores or online, that is unless you were willing to pay three times what it was worth on Amazon or eBay, which I’m sure some lucky/rich kids got their parents to do for them.

Well, getting to the point, Nintendo has announced that the follow-up to the Wii is going to be officially unveiled this coming June at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles. For those of you who don’t know, the E3 Expo is the biggest and most prestigious trade show/event for video and computer games. You thought that Comic-Con was nerdy, but this Expo takes nerdiness to the next level.

The new Nintendo system has been kept pretty secret. All we know is it’s called “Project Cafe” and it will be backwards compatible with the Wii games and software.
